Add up to 20 daily habits. Each day, check off the ones you completed. The tracker shows a 7-dot row for the last 7 days so you can see your consistency at a glance, and counts your current streak of consecutive days.
The streak number counts consecutive days you completed the habit with no gaps. If you complete the habit today, it counts from today backwards. If you haven't checked today yet, the streak counts from yesterday — so you won't lose your streak just because the day isn't over.
All habits and history are stored in your browser's localStorage. No account, no server, no tracking. Your data stays on your device and persists until you clear your browser storage.
Research on habit formation suggests starting with 2–3 habits and adding more only once the first ones feel automatic. Tracking too many habits at once spreads your attention and reduces success rates. Use the streak counter to see which habits have taken root before adding new ones.
The popular idea that habits form in 21 days comes from a misreading of older research. A 2010 study in the European Journal of Social Psychology found habits take an average of 66 days to become automatic, with a range of 18–254 days depending on the person and the behaviour. Consistency matters far more than a fixed number.
Yes — the tracker uses localStorage, which is cleared when you clear your browser's site data. Your habits are tied to this browser on this device. For long-term backup, note your habits and start dates somewhere permanent.
Yes. The tracker is fully responsive. On mobile, tap the checkbox to mark a habit done, and tap × to delete one. The 7-day dots scale down on smaller screens.
